Maryland Department of General Services
William S. James Senate Office Building
Annapolis, MD

The interior of this 76,500-SF Georgian-style building within the Historic State Office Complex was completely renovated.
The building now provides office suites for 38 of Maryland’s senators. Large offices on either side of the entrance lobby are of historical significance because they were the original offices of the state treasurer and state comptroller when the building was first constructed in 1938. Modern systems were integrated into the building while maintaining the classical features and finishes of the Georgian-style architecture.
