JPA was Engineer of Record in a named association with the Architect for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the largest college dormitory in the country.
The firm designed the replacement of the utility infrastructure and all mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 1.5 million-SF structure was built in eleven interconnected wings starting in 1904 and houses the 4,200 member student body known as the Brigade of Midshipmen. Eight dormitory towers and three ceremonial and assembly spaces comprising the center section are tied together by a 500,000-SF base containing support facilities.
